JVC narrows gap between professional and consumer range

At NAB 2002, JVC has been focusing on a diverse range of core market segments, drawing a fine line between the professional and consumer divisions.
In the professional division, JVC is offering new products for traditional broadcasters and video professionals as well as webcasters or event marketers interested in streaming. JVC Professional will also offer a new product for digital cinematography as well as the home theatre market.
JVC offers powerful solutions for the broadcast professional market as digital video enters a new realm, the company has developed the GY-DV500 – a professional DV camcorder offers features on all broadcast cameras while adding new features like the "Super SceneFinder". The GY-DV500 has been designed to minimise the gap between the consumer and the professional.
For live stream, the latest JVC professional camcorder, the GY-DV300, is a hand-held broadcast-quality camera with the capability to record to tape. Its strength is the addition of the streaming adapter, the KA-DV300, giving it the ability to stream what it's taping live to the Internet. The GY-DV300 has good control over image, zooms through a wide-angle adapter and is manually controllable with a 14:1 power zoom lens. The camera has full flexibility of a colour matrix where users can change the gamma, manual control of the iris - up to 32 pixels blemish correction, a rescaler to adjust pixel resolution, a two-microphone output, adjustable zebras with 75 to 100 focus and high contrast position.
