Leitch Vrnet server system selected by Shop At Home Network
Leitch are to provide a Vrnet server system to the Shop At Home Network as part of the network's ongoing transition to digital.
Selection of theVRnet comes after a comprehensive evaluation by Shop At Home Network for server technology to deploy the network's growing digital channel capacity.
The Leitch server system will be used by Shop At Home for ingest of program insert materials, edited program materials and live playback. The sale comprises an 18-channel MPEG-2 VR440 server system, featuring 2 Gbit/s Fiber Channel drives and networking.Leitch network gateways will be utilised to transfer media over IP between sites utilising public networks.
