New Programme To Encourage Women Into Editing

Career Savvy Women and VET Training have utilised the the Creative Skillset TV Skills Fund to finance a new project aiming to get more women editors back into the edit suite after career breaks.
In response to their recent report showing women make up only 18% of the editing workforce, VET Training and Career Savvy Women have launched a new programme called In Frame, which will seek to readdress the balance.
"In Frame is a blend of technical training and personal development for 12 women who are committed to a return to post production, delivered through a mix of webinars, technical workshops, personal coaching and personal development workshops," a statement said.
The programme is a collaborative effort between London post production house VET and Career Savvy Women; an organisation that specialises in developing women to reach their career potential.
In Frame includes:
- 5 webinars – an induction and 4 technical webinars (total time 6.5 hours)
- 4 days of workshops in Central London (2 Technical and 2 Personal Development)
- 3 x 90min career coaching sessions (via phone or Skype)
