Danny Dawson Joins Alias Hire Board
Alias Hire has appointed UK hire manager Danny Dawson as general manager and handed him a place on the DiA broadcast equipment-hire firm’s board.
Danny will take on responsibility for the day-to-day running of the company with owner and founder Mike Smith taking on a more strategic role.
DiA Group chief executive David Brady said: "I would like to welcome Danny to the board and congratulate him on his well deserved promotion. With his enthusiasm and dedication, he will bring renewed vigour to Alias Hire while his technical knowledge and experience he will be a major asset for the board going forward."
Danny, who has worked at Alias Hire since 2009, added: "I am very pleased to be joining the board at what is a hugely exciting time for Alias Hire. With the plans that the DiA Group is putting in place, we are making significant strides towards our goal of becoming a major media production services player. My knowledge of production and my strong technical background will help to make that happen."
Danny joined the Alias Hire board this week and starts his new role with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, Mike Smith and DiA have jointly completed a deal that gives them 100% ownership of Alias Hire. Silent shareholders agreed to sell their remaining stake in the company for an undisclosed amount earlier this month.
