British film sets Cannes date

'Calendar Girls', the highly anticipated new British film, will be unveiled at the 56th International Cannes Film Festival with a special screening on Thursday May 15.
Expected on the Croisette will be the film's stars, Helen Mirren and Julie Walters, along with the real women who's notorious "alternative" Women's Institute Calendar sparked an international media frenzy and provided inspiration for millions of women worldwide.
Following its screening in Cannes, Calendar Girls will be released in the UK on September 5, with Gala Premieres in Skipton, Leeds and London.
