WatchPoint Media appoint Sales & Marketing VP

WatchPoint Media have announced that Matt West has joined their European team, taking up the position of VP of Sales and Marketing.
West moves from the position of Head of Sales, Programmers, for NTL Broadcast, Media Solutions, where he managed the UK Sector that facilitated the UK/European distribution of over 100 TV channels.
During his five years at NTL, West worked with key broadcasters such as the BBC, Flextech and Turner Broadcasting, setting up the European satellite distribution contracts for the likes of CNN, National Geographic and Discovery Networks.
West also commercially managed the integration of several new interactive applications, working with clients such as QVC, bringing the latest in interactivity to our screens.
Previous to this, West worked as a city trader for Lloyds Global Custody, before moving on to take up a new challenge at TCT, where he was responsible for sales and marketing and project managed loyalty systems and schemes for major retail organisations.
Mr West said: "My time at NTL gave me, through the relationships I have been fortunate enough to have, an extensive understanding of broadcasting and what many of the future needs and requirements of the marketplace are, especially in terms of interactivity and channel growth.
"Broadcasters are constantly looking for new ways with which to strengthen viewer channel/brand loyalty and increase potential revenue streams. WatchPoint Media has been launched in response to these needs, a creative agency and technology licensing offering interactive solutions using a unique breakthrough authoring environment, StoryTeller, that will ultimately give Broadcasters total control over the look-and-feel of interactive content creations."
