Analogue TV Sales Stopped

Major electronic retailers in Britain have officially stopped selling analogue televisions as the country gears up for the full digital switchover.
According to Digital UK, the organisation which is helping viewers during the switchover, five million homes are now receiving a DTT-only signal.
The Border region, the West Country, the North West of England and Wales have all switched to the digital signal and the switchover has now begun in Scotland.
Next year will see the switchover begin in Yorkshire, the West Midlands and the east of England, before the last regions - London, the South East, Tynes Tees and Ulster - switch in 2012.
David Scott, Digital UK Chief Executive, said: "It's still early days for TV switchover but there is clear evidence that the benefits of digital TV are welcomed by the vast majority of those who have upgraded, most of whom found it a straightforward process."
