RTW Appoints New Head Of R&D

A global provider of sophisticated sound metering systems, RTW, has announced the appointment of Jörg Striegel as Head of Research and Development.
Striegel, 38, comes to RTW from Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies, where he served for more than six years as Research and Development Project Manager, leading teams focused on measurement devices and systems in the logic and protocol test department. Striegel graduated from RWTH Aachen University of Technology in 1998 with a degree in electrical engineering.
In his new position, Striegel will concentrate on strengthening RTW's already excellent reputation as a vendor of top-quality measurement systems and analysers for the professional audio market, with emphasis on expanding RTW's position as a technology leader. Striegel's main objectives are twofold: first, to implement forward-looking efficiency strategies for RTW's development and manufacturing proceses, and second, to facilitate innovation.
Striegel said: "In developing RTW's exclusive range of products, the in-house R&D department has utilised many sophisticated technologies. My responsibility is to take product development based on those technologies to the next level, at the same time, making future implementation of new technologies faster and more efficient."
