A practical SFX technician and electronics engineer who can design, build and operate reliable bespoke effects for camera. Practical engineering work spanning bespoke electronics design, embedded control, reverse engineering, and special effects for TV and Movies. With 20+ years of on-set and behind the scenes experience.
Background
With decades of hands-on experience in electronics design, embedded firmware, and system integration, I bring a pragmatic engineering approach to complex technical problems. Having worked with some of the UK's best companies and production facilities I have that work-earned experience that cannot be faked.
Work spans everything from low-level hardware and MCU firmware through to networked systems, diagnostics, and reverse engineering of legacy equipment. With excellent skills in 3D Modelling and prototype production.
I have worked on-set and behind the scenes on some of the top TV and Movie productions over the past 15 years and more. Including The F1 Movie, Jurassic Park, Silo, Vigil, Masters of the Air, The Dog Stars, and many more!
