Humble beginnings
Hutchison Technologies launched in 1991 with a vision to make life simpler through technology. Experienced telecoms engineer Bruce Hutchison started the business and immediately set out to offer businesses large and small the very best in telecoms technology. From simple telephone systems to complex networking, Bruce and his team helped their clients make smart telecom investments.
Our reputation grew, and so did the business. In 1995, Bruce’s brother Mark, an experienced electrical engineer, joined the business and added his knowledge and talents to the expanding team. An initial telecoms contract with a multi-national fitness brand would prove to be instrumental in opening up an entirely new market for Hutchison Technologies. That spirit of innovation and curiosity is part of our DNA and is why we’re trusted technology partners for so many major brands.

Our innovative solutions enhance the brand stories of Health & Fitness, Retail, Hospitality & Leisure clients. We help them turn spaces into places where their customers want to spend time and money. Enhancing the customer experience is a founding principle that remains today.
Our Research & Development, Supply Chain Management & Manufacturing teams are delivering Smart Energy Products and Medical Training Devices that improve the lives of consumers and patients.
We’re proud to be a family business, based in Scotland, that has established a global presence and reputation. We have an office in China with clients and partners across the globe. A lot has changed, but we remain committed to being leaders in engineered technologies.
