Since founding Macdyne, Paul has worked on a variety of television productions, feature films and commercials. Employing his unusual array of skills to provide a comprehensively complete effects solution.

Paul’s skills in special effects include sculpting, prosthetics, miniature and model making and he is a trained and certificated pyrotechnician. In visual effects he is experienced in 2 and 3D modeling, animating and compositing. With this mix of both special and visual effects experience, Paul is able to advise a production team on the most effective way to produce their desired effect, whether it be through the use of traditional or digital effects, or a combination of the two. This approach aims to provide the perfect synergy of visual and special effects in the final cut. A typical example of this is illustrated in his recent work on ITV’s air crash drama Impact, where he provided the physical, pyrotechnic and prosthetic effects, as well as more than forty 3D and 2D animations and composites.
