SGO Announces Sale Of A Mistika Post Production System To On Sight

SGO UK has announced that On Sight, London's HD and stereoscopic specialists, have purchased a Mistika system for stereoscopic 3D production in this rapidly growing market area.
Geoff Mills, Director of Sales and Operations for SGO UK, confirmed: "We are delighted with another order for SGO Mistika in the UK and significantly the first for the recently opened London office. Axis Films, On Sight's camera rental division, has been at the forefront of the recent upsurge in 3D shooting with the acquisition and development of a variety of 3D mirror and side-by-side rigs to suit all situations. The company has been working on some recent 3D projects for a number of clients including Sky. On Sight's HD Lab already specialises in providing digital lab services and the addition of the Mistika will allow the company to offer a complete 3D solution.
On Sight's CEO Simon Craddock commented: "We have worked on various 3D projects over the last few months and this opportunity provides a natural progression for our business. The addition of the Mistika will allow On Sight to offer clients a comprehensive set of 3D services at both our HD Lab in the West End and Axis Films in Shepperton Studios."
Mistika features the most advanced integrated stereoscopic 3D tool sets available to the post production market. The system incorporates real-time tools for grading, compositing and repairing stereoscopic images, including processes to adjust inter-ocular camera distance and correct geometry and colour errors between the left and right streams.
Mistika also has real-time, native work flows for RED cameras and real-time 4K DPX colour grading. Announced at IBC 2009, Mistika now supports files from the Phantom high speed camera.
