Digishorts Seeks Submissions

An initiative that is open to new filmmakers with at least one short film on a showreel already, or moving image artists, designers, animators etc with at least one equivalent piece of work to view, is seeking new film submissions.
The digishorts scheme offers the chance to develop and produce a short film with support from Screen WM and the UK Film Council, including a budget of up to £10,000.
Application to digishorts is now open for submissions from the "brightest new filmmaking talent across the West Midlands" with the deadline for applications being Monday 10th November.
A spokesman for digishorts said: "We're also thrilled to announce a brand new partnership with 4mations for animators applying to the scheme - for full details and to apply to digishorts, visit the 'How to Apply section'.
"Also, check out some of the films we've supported through the scheme in the past, read our blogs to hear the deepest inner workings of our minds, and don't forget to also visit Screen WM's website for even more digishorts-related content."
There is no upper time limit on the shorts commissioned and from all applications submitted a selected shortlist of up to 25 projects will be developed, and then a final six projects (includes at least one animation) will be produced.
Submit to digishorts, Screen WM, 9 Regent Place, Birmingham B1 9NJ before 5pm Monday 10th November 2008.
