OBs Targeted At IBC 2008

DK-Technologies were this week using the IBC platform to unveil its new PT0760M waveform monitor to the European market.
Targeted squarely at Outside Broadcast vehicles, production studios and Master Control Rooms, the DK PT0760M is effectively four HD/SD waveform monitors in one box.
This lightweight and easy to operate unit is also ideal for Camera Control Units as it can monitor up to four cameras from one compact box.
"We launched the PT0760M at NAB to great critical acclaim and we are now receiving and fulfilling orders, some of which are repeats," said DK's Director of Sales and Marketing Richard Kelley.
He said that the PTO760M is unique because it features four separate auto-sensing HD/SD inputs that allow for the simultaneous display of four individual waveform monitors showing R, G, B, Cb, Cr and Luminance. It also has a quad splitter that enables the user to view four simultaneous displays on a single screen, either external or internal.
DK has incorporated an in-built Rasterizer so that all of the functions of the PTO760M can be seen on an SD or HD monitor, while retaining the functionality of the built in monitor as a control panel.
The unit's HD/SD Internal Video Test Signal Generator has an independent output and provides test signals in 1080p, 1080i, 720p and SD formats. The test signals include several colour bar signals, colour black, SDI checkfield and monitor alignment signals.
"DK has researched the market very carefully to ensure that the PTO760M incorporates all the features that broadcasters want," Kelley added.
"There is no other product on the market that combines four waveform monitors in one unit and at such a cost effective price.
"Its compact design means that it can easily sit on a desktop or be rack-mounted in just half a rack of space, making it ideal for applications such as outside broadcast where space is at a premium."
