ITC name panel to advise on programme supply review

The ITC have named the panel of experts who will assist their review of the programme supply market in British broadcasting.
The panel members are Bob Phillis, Chief Executive, Guardian Media Group, Anne Bulford, Director of Finance and Business Affairs at the Royal Opera House, Richard Eyre, formerly MD of Pearson Television, Bill Robinson, Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Sir Howard Stringer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Sony Corporation of America.
Chaired by Bob Phillis, the panel will review existing published market data, evidence supplied to the Joint Scrutiny Committee on the draft Communications Bill and key competition issues.
The Panel will advise the ITC on the evidence submitted to the Review and hold two half-day workshops organised by the ITC, scheduled for the week commencing October 28. The workshops will be attended by a selected audience and informed by a number of key speakers.
The panel's advice will inform the ITC's final report to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport and will be published alongside the report in late autumn.
Patricia Hodgson, ITC Chief Executive, said: "We are extremely grateful to our Panel of Advisors, who not only bring wisdom and significant knowledge but also a substantial commitment to the ITC's Programme Supply Review."
Bob Phillis, chair of the Panel, added: "Our Panel has a wealth of expertise and experience from the international programme supply and commissioning marketplace. We look forward to the challenging task ahead of assisting the ITC in its Programme Supply Review and other related matters"
