Rushes Finishes Richmond Sausages

Rushes have completed post on a new 30 second commercial for Richmond Sausages from Quietstorm Directors Cat & Jo and Producer Ben Exley.
In the spot, protestors with placards try in vain to stop a JCB moving into a rural idyll. Only the taste of Richmond Sausages can bring the property developer to his senses. One taste transports him back to his childhood of rolling hills, kite flying, cottages and hearty, homely meals.
'JCB - The Taste That Takes You Back' is a 'commercial with a conscience' and a rural reminder of the old traditions we could so easily forget, the spot uses crash zoom effectively to transport the main character from present to past and back again in a flash.
The spot was graded by Rushes Colourist Adrian Seery and finished in Flame by VFX Artist Adam Watson.
Seery commented: "This was all about the counter zoom. Usually done on set with dolly and camera zoom, the Directors, Cat and Jo, wanted more control of the distance we travel in the zoom.
"This meant we needed to build it digitally in Flame with a combination of filmed plates, digital stills and 3D space. What we are left with is a massive pull back from our hero scene. This would have been impossible to capture on set."
