Miranda Technologies To Showcase New HD Products At CABSAT

Miranda Technologies will be highlighting multiple new HD products at CABSAT (stand ZN-11), including its Kaleido-X multi-image display processor, the X-3D news graphics processor, and the Xchannel playout and branding processor.
The Kaleido-X multi-room, multi-image display processor offers the highest picture quality for the most critical monitoring applications, using patent pending scaling technology, which allows the image quality to be maintained over the full range of image sizes. The processor also offers unrivalled signal flexibility, and each input can be displayed any number of times, in any size, across up to eight displays of any resolution and orientation, without blocking restrictions. Multiple Kaleido-X processors can be linked together to create systems which address large monitoring requirements.
Miranda's X-3D is a 3D graphics authoring and rendering platform for the most advanced HD/SD news graphics applications. X-3D incorporates advanced processing technology from Ventuz, the 3D graphics specialist, and integrates closely with Miranda's Xmedia Suite template-based graphics workflow tools. These applications provide highly effective asset management, data-interfacing and newsroom integration, using MOS for the delivery of rundown information.
The new Xchannel 'channel-in-a-box' integrates tightly with Pharos' media management and playout automation. It is available with single or dual HD/SD outputs in a robust 3RU frame, and provides up to 600 hours of local playout for program content, commercials and interstitials. Advanced graphics capabilities include a powerful HD/SD character generator, which offers virtually unlimited layers of animated text and dynamically updated text. Other graphics features include sophisticated, multi-level animation and stills playout, and a dual channel DVE for picture-in-picture and squeeze-and-reveal type transitions.
