FremantleMedia Promote Jamie Lynn To Vice President Sales

David Ellender, CEO FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME), has announced the promotion of Jamie Lynn to Vice President, Sales, Middle East, Israel, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, South Africa and Africa.
The new role elevates Lynn from Sales Director and adds the key African emerging markets to the wide range of territories he manages.
In this new role, Lynn will continue to grow existing relationships with local producers in South Africa and Africa, who have already successfully rolled out local versions of the Idols format in South Africa (M-Net) and Nigeria (M-Net/NTA) as well as a local version of the drama series, Interrogation Room, in South Africa on SABC1.
Lynn joined FME’s London team in September 2005, initially to handle television distribution sales, before taking on the additional responsibility of format licensing in March 2006. In this unique dual role, he has quickly grown FME’s tape and format sales businesses in the region and has successfully forged fruitful relationships for FME with top terrestrial broadcasters within these territories.
Similarly, on the tape sales side, Lynn has also racked up a remarkable raft of deals, having sold more than 2,000 hours of programming to more than 40 broadcasters since January 2006. These deals span FME’s entire portfolio of programming across the key genres of drama, factual, entertainment and comedy.
David Ellender, CEO, FremantleMedia Enterprises, commented: "I’m thrilled to announce the news of Jamie’s promotion to VP Sales. Having witnessed the way in which he has both consolidated and grown FME’s presence and position in these key territories, this step up is well deserved. We look forward to reporting more success stories for both our tape and format businesses as he takes on this newly expanded role."
FME handles sales of FremantleMedia’s vast catalogue of winning formats spanning drama, gameshows, comedy and entertainment in territories where FremantleMedia Productions does not have a local presence. Format licensing is fast becoming an increasingly important aspect of the multi-dimensional service FME provides around the world.
