LipSync Post Announce Two New Appointments

Reflecting the continued and increasing demand for its services in the film VFX market, LipSync Post is delighted to announce that Lorea Hoye has joined the company as Visual Effects Producer and Glen Pratt as Visual Effects Supervisor.
They join other new recruits in a burgeoning department, including Tom Collier who joins as Lead Compositor and Samantha Tracey who has been promoted to VFX Co-ordinator.
"People with CVs as good as Lorea's, Glen's and Tom's don't come along that regularly," commented Stefan Drury, Head of LipSync VFX. "When they do, they tend to get snapped up quickly and we're delighted that they have joined us at LipSync."
Hoye has worked for MPC, Mill Film and Amblimation in a career that stretches back over a decade, and in high-profile roles on triple-A titles such as 'Poseidon', 'The Corpse Bride' (both as VFX Producer), 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' and 'Gladiator'. Pratt, who has already shepherded '28 Weeks Later' through LipSync, lists compositing work on 'King Kong', 'House of Flying Daggers', 'Batman Begins', and 'Kingdom of Heaven' in a long and impressive filmography. Collier meanwhile has also worked at Stargate Digital and Men From Mars on projects such as 'White Noise', 'Seed of Chucky' and 'An American Haunting'.
They join a department that is having an extremely impressive year so far. LipSync's VFX department has worked extensively on a wide clutch of 2007 releases, including the horror film '28 Weeks Later', the forthcoming releases 'Stardust', '1408', and 'How About You', and the already released 'Hannibal Rising' and 'Hot Fuzz'.
"It's a great time to be joining LipSync. The VFX department has got a full order book and I'm really looking forward to working on its excellent slate of upcoming projects," said Hoye.
Pratt echoes those sentiments. "VFX people tend to chose where they work on a whole list of criteria that doesn't just begin and end with money," he says. "LipSync is the ideal mix of size and attitude: small enough to be friendly but professional enough to reel in big projects and do an amazing job on them."
