5th Element Announces Deal With MPS Broadband

5th Element, the mobile and IPTV development arm of Zodiak Television AB, has announced a significant deal with MPS Broadband which will see the release of the brand new concept Double Dare as a multiplatform format.
Double Dare is a compelling and innovative game that offers the chance for players to turn personal rivalries public as they dare and double dare their friends in a test of wits and nerve.
MPS Broadband provides leading edge solutions and services for live and on-demand streaming/download services in broadband and mobile environments. 5th Element is currently developing new media formats utilizing the services and components offered by MPS Broadband and Double Dare is the first concept to be launched through this arrangement.
By utilising the My Channel framework, Double Dare will be available via three modules – mobile and internet, either as a stand alone project or part of an operator or broadcasters regular internet platform; and TV, via the development of a variety of entertainment format options, from a late night 'VJ' show to a live studio game show.
MPS Broadband will provide the technical solutions needed to ensure that the format and service are available to any country, customer and web or mobile environment around the world. Double Dare will also be the first consumer service to be launched in My Channel.
