DK-Technologies supplies equipment for Hessischer Rundfunk

Danish video and audio equipment manufacturer DK-Technologies has consolidated a long-standing business relationship with German public broadcaster Hessischer Rundfunk (HR) by supplying equipment for a number of redundant dual sync systems.
HR broadcasts television and radio programming to the German state of Hessen and is also member of the ARD, the nationwide association of regional public broadcasters in Germany that operates the 'First Programme'.
HR has its main broadcasting centre in Frankfurt, plus regional broadcasting centres in Hessen. All of the centres are interconnected through an internal network.
The regional centres in Kassel and Frankfurt have now been equipped with a redundant dual sync system consisting of two DK PT5300 HD-SD Sync Generators and one DK PT5211 Change-over Unit. These instruments operate as further master sync generators for the whole centre and complement the sync systems already in service.
Both of the new sync systems have been integrated into the existing installation and are being used to synchronise radio as well as television.
DK's top-of-the-range PT5300 HD-SD Sync generator combines with the PT5211 Change-over Unit to provide a test signal generator system that offers unsurpassed reliability in video production and broadcasting. The system provides sync and test signals in all common HD and SD formats including Dual Link HD. Its reputation for reliability and ease of use has made it an industry standard amongst broadcasters.
HR's decision to invest in the DK PT5300 HD Sync Generator continues a long-standing business relationship that began many years ago when HR installed the PT5210 SD Sync Generators and the PT5230 Sync and Test Signal Generators from Philips TV Test and Measuring Equipment. DK-Technologies acquired PTV in 2001 and has subsequently re-branded the PTV product range under its own banner.
HR is now planning a new technical installation for its studio in Wiesbaden and this will also feature a redundant dual sync system incorporating units from DK-Technologies.
