Granada International appoints Head of Formats

Nadine Nohr, Managing Director at Granada International, has announced the key appointment of Jennifer Harrington as Head of Formats.
Based in London, Harrington, currently Sales Director at Twentieth Century Fox International Television, will head up all international format activity worldwide for Granada International. She will be responsible for the sale of Granada International formats and unscripted material, from both ITV Productions and independent producers. In addition, she will lead the push to acquire formats from external sources to complement the range of hit formats Granada International distributes from its in-house production companies, particularly focusing on the US market.
She will report to Tim Mutimer, Director of Sales at Granada International and will also work alongside Director of Acquisitions and Co-productions Emmanuelle Namiech on securing new formats from the worldwide independent production sector.
Tim Mutimer commented: “I am delighted to welcome Jennifer to the Granada International sales team. She has a great depth of experience and is extremely respected within the industry. At Fox Jennifer has been involved in a number of leading formats and I am sure she will enjoy working with our producers to get the very best out of the exciting formats that we have. With her knowledge of acquisitions through her time at Flextech she will also be a welcome addition to our acquisitions and co-production team.”
Jennifery Harrington added: “I am thrilled to be joining Granada International at this exciting time. Formats continue to excite television viewers around the globe and this is a great opportunity to work with some of the best formats in the business.”
Harrington has more than 18 years experience in the international television business. She began her career at Eagle Lion in 1988 and then moved to Flextech where she acquired movies and series for Bravo. Six years later she ran Challenge TV, where she was in charge of commissioning, acquisitions and scheduling for the brand new game show channel.
After three years she joined Twentieth Century Fox International Distribution as Sales Manager to set up a formats division.
She became Sales Director of the division in 2005.
