NEW MEDIA PARTNERS £25 MILLION STRATEGY

SCOTTISH Enterprise have made public details of its £25 million development strategy for Scotland’s creative industries.
Glasgow company New Media Partners says it will work closely with Scottish Enterprise and companies involved in film, television and other media from throughout the United Kingdom to make the strategy work.
New Media Partners services will include adding business skills and structures, raising finance, creating partnerships, providing forward looking research and helping companies to take advantage of convergence and developments in digital technology. The strategy’s aim is to help small creative and technology based businesses to become sustainable and global players by taking advantage of the changing economy and the increasing demand for the content which they produce.
New Media Partners Managing Director Danny Meaney highlighted the company’s involvement in other Scottish projects: “We have also been instrumental in driving forward the new world-class cross media facility at Pacific Quay in Glasgow, identified as a priority by Scottish Enterprise, and are actively involved in facilitating Creative Cities and Cultural Quarters, which recognise the need to create a focal point for creative and technology based companies.”
New Media Partners, established in 1999, provides business development services to the creative industries with a specific focus on the film/television, design, music and software sectors.
Current clients include Talkback Productions ('They Think It’s All Over'), Scottish Screen and the Glasgow Film Office.
