Frost heads to Italy
Granada International’s Managing Director Nadine Nohr has announced a programming sale to Italy.
On the strength of the companies past successes selling detective drama to Italy, including Agatha Christie’s Poirot and Marple, the deal is the sale of 10 ‘A Touch of Frost’ movies to Telecom Italia Media for La7 in Italy.
The free to air terrestrial channel had previously acquired two A Touch of Frost episodes which it broadcast in 2005. On the back of this performance, the broadcaster has bought a further ten movies to be aired later this year.
Tim Mutimer, Director of Sales at Granada International, who secured both sales in Italy commented: "David Jason's fantastic portrayal of Frost clearly appealed to Italian audiences. I'm very pleased that they will now have the opportunity to see more work from one of the UK's most celebrated actors."
