Digital Vision and Cintel show replacement for traditional telecine suite at IBC

In recognition of the ever-changing post-production market and the need for new, more powerful, efficient, cost effective workflows, Cintel and Digital Vision will be showing one such solution on the Cintel stand (1.411) at IBC.
The dataMill engine will be shown working in conjunction with the Nucoda Film Master from Digital Vision, offering high-speed data scanning at the touch of a button.
A calibrated 2k and 4k data transfer engine capable of speeds up to 15 fps, dataMill can also be configured to provide real-time SD or HD 10-bit log outputs, essentially SD and HD data in a video wrapper, which is ideal for high speed DI processing. dataMill will also feature the Millennium II upgrade, allowing it to be switched effortlessly into creative ‘datacine’ mode.
Simon Cuff, Vice President Nucoda Business Unit at Digital Vision explained: "The Nucoda Film Master and datamill combination is the modern replacement for the traditional telecine suite. It is cost-effective and supports video and data workflow without compromising quality.”
The award-winning Nucoda Film Master from Digital Vision is the world's first complete resolution-independent end-to-end video and film finishing solution, providing major improvements in workflow for any facility by bringing the Data Centric approach to all commercial spots and long form productions.
La Pospo, one of Spain’s newest and most impressive post production houses, has recently commissioned both a dataMill scanner from Cintel and a Nucoda Film Master from Digital Vision. Director Maria Rosa Fusté said: "They are perfect for us. The overall quality and performance of this equipment is outstanding and will perfectly suit the tapeless workflow we are creating here.”
Simon Clark, Cintel's Business Development Manager added: "dataMill with Film Master is a proven Digital Intermediate workflow. The partnership between Cintel and Digital Vision has made the DI toolset available at an unequalled speed and quality level".
Digital Vision provides innovative image restoration, enhancement, colour correction and data conforming systems that major movie studios, television networks and post-production facilities use to produce and enhance feature films, TV programs and commercials. The company’s Nucoda product line provides a strong suite of products for the burgeoning digital intermediate 2K/4K market. The company’s award-winning products are a standard of the media & entertainment industry and are deployed at top facilities around the world.
