THE DIGISUITE LX, distributed by BIT (UK), is designed for the customer wishing to utilise MPEG 2 technology for authoring of DVD's, as well as providing a sound and reliable unit for standard non-linear editing requirements.
The LX unit comes complete with its own 'Firewire' interface card and differs from its bigger brother, the DTV unit, in that it supports a data rate of up to 25 megabits per second throughput, while the DTV features the option of operating at 50 megabits per second throughput. The Digisuite LX is priced at £2,850.00 and comes with a bundled software package which includes Adobe Premiere 5.1 RT, DVDiT SE, Boris FX and inscriber CG.
BIT have also announced the impending release of the new Max Option 3D card, which is scheduled to be shipping early in the first quarter of 2001 with generous discounts for early orders.
BIT have recently moved their distribution operation out of their offices of ten years in Alton, Hampshire to a new business park in Ascot.
The move, completed in November, has provided, in addition to improved communications, closer proximity to the reseller bases in London and the M4 corridor and excellent demonstration and meeting facilities.
