IPK BROADCAST SYSTEMS WIN PORTUGUESE CONTRACT
IPK Broadcast Systems have announced the award of a contract to install new four-channel continuity suite and control equipment in the headquarters of Radio Television Portugal in Lisbon.
IPK said that the contract follows on from the successful installation of the television facilities for EXPO 98 that was held in Lisbon, Portugal.
Equipped with automated tape and server based playout control system, the installation at Radio Television Portugal will also include a new Central Apparatus Area with 128x160 main SDI and AES matrices, plus sub and monitoring matrices with a 144x144 Talkback matrix connecting all operational areas. The Lines In/Out area in the Master Control Room is also to be equipped with comprehensive monitoring and routing control.
IPK said that a primary requirement during the Radio Television Portugal installation is to ensure that there are no disruptions to the existing studio and transmission operations of this busy broadcast facility. (SP)
