Optibase MGW 5100 enables IP/TV in Ireland

Industria, Ireland’s leading broadband solution provider has Optibase's MGW 5100 IP platform in a video head-end solution for Dublin based Magnet Networks.
The video head-end solution, which will enable triple play services (voice over IP, fast Internet and video over telephone lines), will deliver tens of live video channels over a fibre network designed to reach subscribers in multi-dwelling units.
“As the system integrators for the project we valued the following characteristics in the MGW 5100 platform; it has a small footprint, yet easily scalable to support many more channels in the future, it offers all in one encoding and streaming capabilities, and is compatible with third party middleware packages,” said Gudjon Mar Gudjonsson, CEO of Industria. “The Optibase MGW 5100 was chosen as it was perfect for our needs.”
