Film London Executive Task Force sets agenda for the capital

London’s new Film London Executive Task Force, chaired by Lord Puttnam, convened for the first time recently.
The Film London Executive Task Force is comprised of key stakeholders from the industry and the public sector with an interest in ensuring that location filming in London is conducted as efficiently and successfully as possible.
The principle aim of the Task Force is to foster high standards for the organisation and delivery of production filming in London. It will address the key issues affecting filmmaking in London such as traffic management, a code of practice for filmmakers, a common approach to permissions and fees, comprehensive data collection and communication. One of the objectives is to maximise the economic benefits that flow from film production in London (such as spend on local services and by tourists).
The Task Force is the brain child of Film London, the strategic agency for film and media in the capital and lies at the heart of the Filming London Partnership, a unique London-wide collaboration of boroughs, agencies and film locations, which are unified by their commitment to encourage and assist filming in the capital.
The Filming London Partnership has been developed in association with the Mayor of London and the London Development Agency.
