MICHAEL ATTWELL, Channel 5's Senior Programme Controller, is leaving the station to set up his own production company.
The company will have a two year-output deal with Channel 5.
Attwell said: "I feel I've made a significant contribution to the success of Channel 5 in their first four years and I'm looking forward to continuing to work with the Channel."
Attwell joined Channel 5 as Controller of Features and Arts in 1996 from the BBC's Independents' Commissioning Executive.
