Three Shows By MBC STUDIOS To Be Available To Stream At MIPCOM 2021

MBC STUDIOS, the production arm of MBC GROUP, has confirmed that three of its latest hit shows will be available to stream at MIPCOM 2021, the global market for entertainment content across all platforms.

Leading MBC STUDIOS' original titles is the Saudi breakout hit, 'Rashash', the largest Arab production created for a streaming platform to date.

Inspired by real events, the powerful series narrates the story of the notorious criminal of the same name in the 1980s, and the Saudi police's efforts to bring him to justice.

Also available on the MIPCOM Content Directory will be 'Carlos Ghosn: The Last Flight' and 'Arous Beirut' (also known as 'Bride of Beirut').

The release of 'Rashash” on Shahid – the world's leading Arabic streaming platform by MBC GROUP – has been met with stellar reviews by critics and viewers, with the series currently ranked the top 0.3% of all titles currently tracked, outperforming blockbusters currently streaming in the MENA region. It currently holds a rating of 8.3 on IMDB.

Latest figures by MBC GROUP show that 'Rashash' is achieving 18 times the demand of the average Shahid title, as well as a demand of 5.1 times higher than the market average.

Looking beyond the region, 'Rashash' currently ranks in the top 8% of all non-English language titles in the United Kingdom, as well as in the top 15% of all non-English language titles in the United States and Brazil.*

Taking place this year between 11-14 October at Palais des Festivals, Cannes, MIPCOM is the largest annual TV market in the world that brings together the most influential TV and digital content executives for four days of in-person networking, creative exchange, screenings, and inspiring talks.
