Music production company launches in the Midlands

Husband and wife team Mark and Louise Cook recently relocated from West London to form a new initiative in production music.
Based in the Midlands, Carmen Music is a complete music production facility specialising in film and broadcast television. They offer high quality music that can be used ‘off the shelf’ from their extensive library catalogue as well as individually commissioned works.
Their music is written specifically with programming in mind. Each CD from the library catalogue is designed to match programme type and enables the listener to explore several musical genres at once. Carmen Music also write and produce original commissions using in-house production facilities to keep costs down and cutting edge technology to ensure their attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
A team of five composers collaborate on projects. All are outstanding musicians in their own right and have credits that include music broadcasted on BBC television and radio and Channel 4, commissions from BSkyB, corporate and private clients and the scores for ‘Monarch’, a feature film by Hourglass Productions, and short films ‘The Letter’ released at the London Film Festival and ‘Girl Afraid’ starring Honor Blackman.
