DK-Audio announces product line-up for AES 2004

Danish manufacturer DK-Audio will unveil a number of new audio test and measurement products at this year’s AES exhibition in Berlin from May 8-11 2004.
Included in the strong line-up for 2004 is the PT0660M, a new addition to DK-Audio’s successful MSD600M range of audiometers. This multitrack meter (up to 32 channels) is aimed at video broadcast and post-production markets and was specifically designed for London-based Corinthian Television (CTV). It proved so successful that DK-Audio has introduced it as a flagship product in its range.
The PTO660M combines DK-Audio’s proprietary JellyFish surround display with a rotary control knob on the front panel, enabling it to act as the master volume control for speakers in both surround and stereo configurations. An internal switching matrix and new software allowing customers to change presets to their own specifications provide additional flexibility, as the ten presets are directly available from the front plate.
Another addition to the DK-Audio range is the PT0600M master stereo display. Based on the successful MSD600M++ surround sound meter, the PTO600M shares the same motherboard but is built into a half rack width, making it ideal for video and outside broadcast environments. The unit will be shown alongside the new SDI Module, which de-embeds up to 4 channels of audio and offers facilities to re-clock the signal. Other types of in and output modules can be mounted in the PTO600M to suit the required needs for monitoring analogue and digital audio formats, embedded as well as pure feeds.
DK-Audio is also showing the MSD600M-INPUT-HD/O, a new HDTV de-embedder module for the MSD600M++, PT0600M and PT0660M. This extracts the audio contained in the HD video signal so that it can be routed via the unit’s built-in matrix and shown on the screen as a level meter combined with various phase meters, such as DK’s proprietary JellyFish. It can also be routed to the outputs of the base unit to either analogue or digital audio outputs.
Also new are the MSD600M-Input/2 & MSD600M-Output/2 modules for the MSD600M, PT0600M and PT0660M. Designed to accept BNC connectors and 75R termination on the digital audio signal, these modules can be set for either 110R termination and balanced input or 75R termination and unbalanced operation on the AES signals. The output module has also been adapted so that it sends out higher signal levels.
Alongside its new products, DK-Audio will be showing new software packages for the MSD and PT range of audio instruments. Existing products will be well represented and will include the entire MSD range of audiometers and the PT0600M-LS with loudspeakers for a complete monitoring package covering visual and audible.
DK-Audio can be found at stand 2913.
