A Question Of Sport Celebrates 50th Anniversary

dock10 has announced that a special edition of A Question of Sport celebrating the shows 50th anniversary, entitled A Question of Sport 50 - Not Out, has been filmed at the facility.

First broadcast on 5 January 1970, A Question Of Sport has gone on to become a British television institution, and is now the longest-continuously running quiz show on British TV. Sue Barker hosts the special edition.

Regular team captains Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell are joined by a stellar line up of guests. Former a Question of Sport team captain, Ally McCoist, returns to join Phil's team, alongside Rugby League legend Martin Offiah.

Joining Matt on his team are Dame Laura Davies, Britain’s most prolific female golfer, and Britain’s most successful gymnast, Beth Tweddle.

This one-off edition will test the teams sporting knowledge on the past five decades of sport, as well as revisit some of the show’s funniest moments and airs on BBC One on 3rd January.

An hour-long documentary, A Question Of Sport At 50, will also be shown on BBC One on 27 December, looking back at the history of the show with sporting greats and celebrity fans sharing their memories. With post production on the documentary provided by dock10.
