So Television Makes Two New Appointments

So Television has appointed a new Creative Director and Head of Development.

Darren Smith and Mary Doyle were chosen to take up the new roles of Creative Director and Head of Development respectively.
Both roles will report to Managing Director Graham Stuart.

Darren joins from Endemol Shine label, Initial, where as Head of Entertainment he focused on formats leading the new MTV reality show The Royal World to commission. Prior to that he was Twofour's Head of Comedy Entertainment, having previously spent four years as a commissioning editor for entertainment and comedy for Channel 4 and responsible for launching shows including 10 O'Clock Live and Friday Night Dinner.

Mary will manage the development team at the award-winning entertainment production company and will oversee the pitching of a roster of entertainment and comedy-entertainment ideas to commissioners of major broadcasters in the UK and US.

Mary has a raft of experience in development and production gained over 10 years working for a wide range of companies, including BBC, STV, Shine and Hungry Bear Media.
