Pinnacle Cinéwave wins Olympic praise
Pinnacle Systems have won gold medal praise for their participation in the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Pinnacle’s CinéWave HD, the leading editing and compositing solution on the Apple Power Mac G4, was used in a wide variety of applications, including the broadcast of the Winter Olympics in High Definition, produced by NBC in association with HDNet, and NASA’s high definition theatre presentation near Olympic Square.
The Winter Olympics in High Definition was produced by NBC in association with HDNet, using CinéWave HD to edit segments for the daily, 24-hour coverage.
It was the only nonlinear editing system (NLE) to be used to produce the HD programming, which appeared on NBC’s DTV affiliates and on HDNet's Channel 199/DIRECTV.
