Quartz and Sundance announce working partnership

Quartz Electronics, a leading provider of routers and master control switchers, and Sundance Digital, a major provider of cost-effective, high-performance automation solutions for broadcast master control and television news, have formed a working partnership to provide an advanced extensible protocol that enhances control of Quartz QMC Master Control Switchers operating under Sundance Digital's automation.
The groundbreaking new protocol provides a means of selecting internally stored logos and DVE moves under fully automated control which were previously inaccessible from the playlist. Working together, the two companies defined and tested the technology that is already being used on air.

Titan is Sundance Digital's highly expandable automation product for the "next generation" of television facilities that operate a primarily tapeless on-air facility. Titan permits dynamic re-assignment of playlist control via its intuitive, information rich, graphical user interface. The Titan GUI also facilitates the management and control of multiple active playlists.
