Cine Gear Expo Returns To Paramount Studios

Cine Gear Expo returns to the Paramount Studios on June 4-7, 2015. For 20 years, the Cine Gear Exhibition and Seminar Series has brought together artists and technicians alike to share the latest art and craft of the Hollywood industry.

Held on the famous Paramount Studios Lot, attendees from around the world learn about the newest professional techniques and equipment and discuss the latest projects, product innovations, and industry news in a casual Hollywood-style atmosphere.

The four-day event offers an array of activities starting on 4 June with the Film Competition Finalist Screenings of Student Shorts, Independent Shorts and the new Commercial/Music Video competition. Winners in each category will take home generous prizes including a Blackmagic URSA EF 4K Super 35 Camera at the awards presentation held Friday evening, 5 June.

This year, Cine Gear will host 300 exhibits lining the studio back lot and filling three soundstages, including the industry's most respected manufactures, rental houses, guilds, associations, trade journals and other solutions companies – all standing by to share the latest tricks and technology. The Cine Gear exhibitions are open Friday 5 June, from noon to 8pm, and Saturday 6 June from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

Filling those same days, there will be over 25 complimentary seminars, panels, and screenings supported and organised by manufacturers and associations held on site. Attendees have the benefit of small sessions with industry experts from Sony, ARRI and Canon, to revered Audio engineers and award-winning cinematographers.

For in-depth education, Cine Gear also offers its Master Class Seminars on Sunday 7 June. This mix of educational opportunities includes Lighting, Camera and Camera Support Workshops. Tickets may be purchased online or at the Information Booth during show hours.

In addition, Cine Gear experience will feature three complimentary blockbuster feature film screenings and expert panels. The audience will be treated to state-of-the-art projection systems in the Paramount and the Sherry Lansing Theaters and a special 4K feature screening from Sony Electronics on Friday evening.

A VIP Awards party caps the event festivities. Cine Gear Expo will present the Legacy Lifetime Achievement Award and the Technical Lifetime Achievement Award to honour individuals and companies who advance the art and craft of filmmaking.
