FOR-A To Present Vision Mixers At BVE

News Image
FOR-A is presenting featuring its latest vision mixers at BVE 2014.
These include the new compact yet powerful HVS-XT100 and the established HVS-390HS mixer.
New Compact Vision Mixers
The new HVS-XT100 and HVS-XT110 HD/SD compact vision mixers are designed for live events, news studios, OB vans and corporate production. The two mixers are functionally identical but the HVS-XT100 comprises a separate main unit and control panel while the HVS-XT110 is an integrated single-unit design. Both add many new capabilities to allow users to easily do more with a very cost-effective unit.
These mixers expand on the established HVS-300HS vision mixer's functions including mixed HD/SD input, frame synchronisation, multi-viewer, re-sizing engines, multiple 2.5D DVEs, transition effects and a very high quality chroma key. Standard features also include two freely assignable keyers and two DSK channels that can be applied to Aux outputs.
The HVS-XT100 offers eight HD/SD-SDI inputs, four outputs and one HDMI output, expandable to 14 inputs and six outputs, or 12 inputs and eight outputs that can be freely assigned. The HVS-XT110 is compact and designed for use in small broadcasting vans and flypacks. This unit has 12 HD/SD-SDI inputs and six outputs, plus one HDMI that can be freely assigned.
Built-In Web Server
Further options are open to users via the mixers' built-in Web server that enable adjustment of settings from a PC or a tablet device. For example, screens emulating the conventional control panel allow users to see a video stream of selectable outputs from the mixer including PGM, PVW, CLN, MV and all AUX.
HVS-390HS Vision Mixer
The HVS-390HS is a compact, cost-effective vision mixer that is available in 1 M/E and 2 M/E versions. It includes 16 HD/SD-SDI inputs and eight outputs (expandable to 24 inputs and 13 outputs), with frame synchronizers for all inputs. Built-in resizing engines on four inputs allow mixing HD, SD, and PC sources. Two chroma keyers and four keyers per M/E are standard. All keyers have 2.5D DVE and there are two 3D DVEs (for background and keyer) for each M/E. The switcher includes stores for up to 480 video frames and up to 100 events.
Other equipment on show includes the new versatile, easy-to-use BB-100 Broadcast Box video server, offering low cost record and playout for popular compression formats, and well worth seeing.
The MV-1620 is an economical compact (1RU) multi-viewer for up to 16 channels of mixed HD/SD-SDI or analogue composite signals for monitoring on one or two screens. It offers a customisable window layout and displays audio levels, titles, timers, and more.
The FA-9520, effectively a dual-channel version of the popular FA-9500 multipurpose signal processor, provides a variety of applications including master control, mobile production, postproduction services, live production, and more.
The LTR-100HS is a standalone video archiving recorder complete with an LTO drive providing Terabyte capacity of LTFS data files, LTR recorders offer material or programme exchange via HD/SD-SDI input/output or MXF files with non-linear editing systems.
