Deal Or No Deal Moves To Bristol's Largest Film And TV Studio Complex

The Bottle Yard Studios have announced that the high rating Channel 4 gameshow Deal or No Deal is the latest production to set up home at Bristol's largest film and TV studio complex.
The long-running gameshow, hosted by Noel Edmonds, has confirmed the move from its home of the past eight years at The Paintworks in Bristol.
Deal or No Deal is made by Endemol for Channel 4 with production facilities provided by the BBC's commercial subsidiary, BBC Studios and Post Production. Creating the new home for Deal or No Deal involves building studio and other production facilities within a large 3,000 square metre warehouse unit within The Bottle Yard Studios complex. This work is being led by BBC Studios and Post Production, with significant investment by Bristol City Council to provide the infrastructure required.
Fiona Francombe, Client Liaison and Site Manager for The Bottle Yard Studios, said: "We are delighted to welcome Deal or No Deal to The Bottle Yard Studios. The show's arrival represents a real boost for our profile within the industry. Also, having BBC Studios and Post Production on site really demonstrates how much Bristol has to offer the UK's production community. We are already the home to returning series 'The Mimic' (Channel 4) and 'Trollied' (Sky 1), as well as other major TV dramas, feature films and commercials. We are really pleased that the flexibility of our space at The Bottle Yard Studios has now enabled us to attract a homegrown show like Deal or No Deal."
BBC Studios and Post Production has provided technical services and crew for Deal or No Deal since 2010, so far delivering four successful series, including the critically acclaimed live programmes and taking the show HD in 2012. The technical fit-out is being delivered in just four weeks.
The hit series has seen over 2000 contestants compete, seen over 50,000 boxes opened and has given away more than £30,000,000 of prize money since it hit daytime screens in 2005. Six contestants have won the £250,000 jackpot, including Suzanne Mulholland from Bristol, who won the top prize in 2011.
