ATG Broadcast Appoints Product Sales Manager

ATG Broadcast has announced a new addition to its team with appointment of Chris Elson as Product Sales Manager.
"With nearly 30 years of broadcast industry experience, Chris has a great understanding both of the technical and operational issues that drive the broadcast business," commented Tim Felstead, ATG Broadcast's Head of Sales & Marketing. "His role within ATG will be to develop our third-party hardware and software distribution business, identifying market opportunities, negotiating with suppliers and ensuring that consistently high quality support is provided to our customers."
Chris Elson began his career in 1984 as a broadcast equipment and customer-acceptance test engineer at Cox Electronics, progressing in 1990 to Sony Broadcast & Professional. Over the next two decades he advanced from senior field engineer through product management, marketing, account management and business development roles with Sony. He later joined Soho-based Molinare Post Production as head of new business, looking after clients such as Master Chef, followed by two years with Boxer designing and providing file-based solutions for clients in broadcast and post production.
"ATG Broadcast's wide range of activity as a systems integrator is an ideal environment in which to operate a broadcast production distribution business," Chris Elson adds. "The systems design team are well placed to identify the most efficient elements of modern broadcast infrastructure, whether for live signal processing, file-based content management, transcoding or transmission."
