Digital Rapids launch line of streaming media products

Digital Rapids have announced a new hardware initiative, the DRC-Stream range.
This new line of video and audio hardware processing and capture plug in cards is designed specifically to work as a bridge between traditional video sources and IP based networks.
DRC-Stream boards are PCI based, 64bit /66Mhz cards, which work in any standard PC running Microsoft Windows XP. They feature an entire complement of video inputs including composite, Y/C, component, DV, and SDI.
Each DRC-Stream board can be configured as analogue only or analogue plus digital (SDI/DV). Analogue solutions feature balanced and unbalanced audio and digital solutions include AES, DV, and embedded SDI audio.
In addition to the wide variety of professional audio and video inputs, DRC-Stream boards feature powerful video and audio pre-processing capabilities with up to two channels of video processing and up to eight channels of audio. Each realtime hardware video processing channel features advanced motion adaptive de-interlacing, inverse telecine, high quality scaling (shrink/zoom), cropping, proc-amp controls, 2D and 3D (temporal) noise reduction, and aspect ratio control.
Each realtime hardware audio channel features a seven-band parametric EQ (programmable filters), dynamic range compression, loudness contouring, and sample rate conversion.
