talkbackTHAMES Digital Expands Team With New Commercial Development Manager

talkbackTHAMES digital, a joint venture between FremantleMedia Enterprises and talkbackTHAMES, has appointed Martin Ogden as Commercial Development Manager.
Ogden will report to Head of talkbackTHAMES digital, Robert Marsh.
Ogden will be responsible for developing new commercial opportunities across online, mobile and other digital platforms for FremantleMedia's catalogue of IP. He will initially be focused on forging new partnership and development deals with broadcasters, portals and developers of smartphone Apps and online, mobile and social gaming.
Marsh commented: "Within the ever-evolving digital space, talkbackThames digital prides itself on developing ground-breaking ways for fans to interact with FremantleMedia's brands. Martin brings with him a wealth of experience in working with partners to successfully optimise IP on digital platforms and we look forward to an increase in commercial and creative opportunities for our own IP."
Ogden added: "FremantleMedia has some of the world's most popular entertainment properties and I am excited to be working with the talented team at talkbackTHAMES digital to help drive innovative digital experiences for new and existing fans."
In 2010 talkbackTHAMES digital celebrated a nomination for the highly acclaimed BAFTA Craft Awards for their work on The Apprentice 'Predictor' and won the Best Use of Social Media award at the Revolution Awards for The X Factor digital campaign. The campaign resulted in 2.2 million fans joining The X Factor Facebook fan site and 147,000 people following The X Factor Twitter feed.
The talkbackTHAMES digital team also produces all of Britain's Got Talent's digital elements including the website, iPhone and iPod Touch apps. During last year's series, the Britain's Got Talent app achieved an impressive total of 538,367 downloads. Other brands talkbackTHAMES digital currently work on include The IT Crowd, Neighbours and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
Prior to joining talkbackTHAMES digital, Ogden ran his own business, P1 Sports ltd, where digital rights of sports IP were used in games and applications across multiple platforms.
During this time, Ogden oversaw the procurement of licensing agreements with videogames publishers for the likes of Manchester United, The Davis Cup and Frankie Dettori. In addition, Ogden was responsible for the development of the Freddie Flintoff-branded Fantasy Cricket application for Orange UK. Previously, Ogden was Marketing Director of CIC Video (a joint venture between Universal Studios' and Paramount Pictures' Home Entertainment).
