SIS Live Choose EVS XT(2)+ Production Servers

EVS has announced that SIS LIVE, Europe's largest outside broadcast (OB) and uplink supplier has acquired 13 HD XT(2)+ production servers for its new-generation HD and 3G capable OB fleet, including OB 1, the largest OB vehicle in the UK.
The six-channel production servers from EVS have been incorporated in all three OB vehicles that form the new new fleet: OB 3, OB 7 and the newly designed OB 1. They are used for multi-camera ingest of A/V content (including content from high-speed cameras) and live editing functions, such as clip creation and live slow motion replays. The servers were successfully operated during the recent Scottish Open Golf Tournament and the Europe Athletics Championships in Barcelona.
Julian Boden, Head of Engineering, SIS LIVE, said: :The XT(2)+ from EVS is a robust server that guarantees speed and slo-mo action replays with maximum precision. It is also a flexible platform that can be configured for any format, including live 3D productions and 1080p transmissions."
SIS LIVE has also acquired Epsio, EVS' instant graphic overlay solution for live sports. The new software application will operate with the XT(2)+ systems, allowing LSM operators to insert a virtual offside in their instant replays, or add graphics such as free-kick circles and the score in real-time.
Mike Snell, Head of Sales, EVS UK, added: "At EVS we are proud that SIS LIVE has placed its confidence in our tapeless technology. Our new XT(2)+ system with the integration of live graphics will not only meet the demands of one of the most advanced and innovative OB fleets in Europe, but also its future requirements."
EVS is presenting its full tapeless workflow solutions and latest technology innovations at IBC 2010 in Hall 8 at Stand B.90.
