Autoscript To Unveil Professional Prompting App At IBC

A renowned teleprompting company and Vitec Group brand, Autoscript, will be launching a software App for the i-Series platforms, as well as demonstrating new hardware and software features to its award-winning prompting range at IBC 2010.
Brian Larter, Managing Director at Autoscript, commented: "We have been looking at how we could use the iPhone, iTouch and more recently the iPad, in a prompting environment. Although there is a number of very basic Apps in this area, we wanted to offer a system the Autoscript way – properly researched, professional and integrated with the rest of our range of prompting tools."
Autoscript has developed i-Plus, an App that will interface to its WinPlus News or Studio software and allow downloading or transfer of scripts or run-orders directly to the device. In essence, the WinPlus System connected to a Newsroom system could send a script to a reporter on location, anywhere in the world.
i-Plus will be available on the App store for download from mid September. Scroll controls and lightweight through the lens mounts can also be purchased directly from Autoscript.
At the IBC show Autoscript will also unveil enhancements to the LED range of TFT on-camera units, giving better performance and features (Autoscript remains the only prompting company to offer LEDs as standard.)
In addition Autoscript will demonstrate new features and benefits to the WinPlus range of software, including a real-time prompt preview on the laptop of PC screen, negating the need for a preview monitor.
