Latens And Minerva Extend Close Integration Of CAS And IPTV Middleware

Latens and Minerva Networks have announced that the two companies have renewed and extended their partnership to provide IPTV solutions in the Americas.
To date, both companies have been highly successful in offering their joint solution combining Latens conditional access and Minerva's middleware to operators in North and South Amercia. The renewal of this agreement provides continued and new business growth for both companies.
This partnership will utilise Latens knowledge and expertise in securely delivering content and Minerva's robust middleware that allows operators to integrate their communication services and offer a personalised TV experience. Under the terms of the partnership, Latens and Minerva will also collaborate on further integrations with market leading set-top box and VOD vendors to ensure operators have the best options for their IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) network.
Latens award-winning IPTV smartcard less Conditional Access System (CAS) is designed specifically to help reduce risk, deployment time and costs as IOC's and Telco operators deploy IPTV services across their network. Robust and field tested; Latens CAS is approved by the major studios and content owners.
Philip Cardy, Product Marketing Director, Latens, said: "The partnership between Latens and Minerva brings together and unifies two major parts of a traditionally fragmented solution. Our continuing partnership allows telcos to deploy IPTV services quickly and with confidence, with the assurance of Latens excellent customer service."
Cardy concluded: "As an innovator in the industry, Latens always seeks to partner with those that share our vision of creating an unparalled TV viewing experience. By combining Minerva's middleware with our proven conditional access technology, we can continue to meet our goal to provide the most closely integrated CAS solution for Minerva's Middleware product. The renewal of our partnership agreement with Minerva strengthens our commitment to the US market and will allow us to continue to grow and expand."
Minerva ITVManager is a proven solution for launching, operating and growing a profitable IPTV service. Minerva's award-winning subscriber interface has all the latest HD and DVR features and runs on a variety of leading set-top boxes. The ITVManager management module offers a complete suite of tools that minimise the cost of operating an IPTV service.
Jean-Georges Fritsch, Chief Operating Officer, Minerva, said: "We are delighted to continue our work with Latens. Our close partnership with Latens ensures that their CAS solution and our ITVManager platform are always certified on the IPTV ecosystem of set-top boxes and VOD servers that we offer to our customers. Operators can deploy an IPTV service that is reliable and compelling to viewers with the confidence that the system components have been fully integrated.
"Integration of the multiple components of the IPTV system is one of the major problems for operators rolling out a successful service. Our partnership with Latens ensures that we can offer a seamless solution of Latens' CAS and our middleware."
