'Polaroid' Snaps Up Nomination At First Light Movies Awards

Psychological thriller ‘Polaroid’ has been nominated for Best Drama at the First Light Movies Awards 2008.

The film is written, directed and filmed by young people aged between 14-17 from Worthing Youth Media, a weekly creative media organisation for young people in the Worthing area.

The filmmakers were assisted technically by local film production organisation Compulsive Community Pictures, a sister organisation of Compulsive Productions, a Chichester based film production company run by Daniel Musty and Roz Hall.

The company recently won the Sussex Area Enterprise Award 2007 for Princes Trust supported businesses and the DV Mission 2007 for Best Pro Tech Film at the Portmouth Screen Film Festival.

The 6th First Light Movie Awards ceremony takes place at the Odeon, Leicester Square in London on Tuesday 4 March 2008. The judging panel includes Kevin Spacey, Nira Park, Stephen Fry, Olando Bloom and Sam Mendes.
