Chariots Of Fire Set For Olympic Re-Release

British film, Chariots of Fire, is to be given a cinematic re-release to coincide with this summer's London Olympics.
Fox hopes to cash in on Olympic fever by re-releasing the British film which won the Best Film Oscar for Britain in 1982.
Chariots of Fire tells the story of two athletes competing in the 1924 Olympics — one for the glory of God, one to overcome prejudice. Nominated for seven Academy Awards, it won four, including best picture.
While the film is 31 years old and the fact-based story about two athletes dates back to the early 20th century, the film's producer Lord David Puttnam believes the message of the film is now more relevant than ever.
Meanwhile Director Hugh Hudson who is now 75-years-old said: "I think there is an audience that want to see it in the cinema, even if they have seen it on television.
"The thing is, it doesn’t seem to have dated."
The Oscar-winner a will be re-released across the country this July.
