Irish Short Film 'Burning The Bed' due for UK cinema release

Denis McArdle's atmospheric short film ‘Burning The Bed’ receives a select UK cinema release this month and marks the first Irish short film to receive a UK theatrical release since Thaddeus O’Sullivan’s short film ‘The Woman Who Married Clark Gable’ in 1985.
Burning the Bed screens at the infamous Curzon Soho, supporting the French thriller, ‘The Beat My Heart Skipped’ from Friday November 4. Following the Curzon release, the short receives a select UK cinema release supporting the feature film, ‘Factotum’ from Friday November 18 in numerous cinemas around London, York, Oxford, Cambridge, Southampton and Edinburgh.
Directed by Denis McArdle from a script by Patrick Chapman, Burning The Bed was funded by the Irish Film Board / RTÉ ‘SHORT CUTS’. Having already screened theatrically in Ireland and in over 40 festivals worldwide, the film has scooped three major awards for Best Short film, with much praise given to the lush photography by Tom McDougal.
The film, produced by Songway & Fantastic Films, with support from Buena Vista Pictures, marks the first Irish short film to receive a UK release in over 20 years.
