BH Broadcast is built on the experience and reputation of its founder, Paul Barton Hodges. Having worked in music and performing arts production for many years, including lecturing and teaching, Paul established his first media production company in 2016. After a journey through film making, installations and systems integration, live broadcast became an increasing part of projects and during the lockdowns of 2020 virtual and hybrid events became the focus.
Equipment
BH Broadcast can cater for all your equipment needs, whether it is from our in-house rental stock or working with our trusted network of partners and hire companies. Here are some examples of regular equipment solutions.
Portable Production Units
The core to most of our production work, BH Broadcast has two PPUs with similar spec but different footprints. Each PPU has a vMix PC, ATEM switcher and all necessary networking and monitors. In addition, ZoomISO/Teams ISO machines can be added along with audio mixing and distribution amplifiers for camera feeds etc. PPUs come with a selection of format converters and talkback system etc.
PTZ Camera Systems
With roots firmly in the performing arts sector, BH Broadcast has always made extensive use of Panasonic PTZ camera systems. Having installed dozens of these cameras in concert venues, conservatoires and schools across the county these cameras provide flexible and unobtrusive coverage of your event.
Packaged Services
At BH Broadcast we like to treat every project individually and view it as a bespoke solution. We do understand, however, that for budgeting purposes and to get a quick idea of total costs, packaged products can be a very helpful starting point from which to build out more customised solutions.
Event Streaming & Live Recording
Package Contents: Portable Production Unit, 3x PTZ cameras, Audio Mix*, Live stream and Archive recording, 2x Crew
Great for: Conferences and Corporate Communications
This package provides everything you need to live stream and record your event. Three PTZ (hot-head) cameras allow a single operator to control and recall preset camera shots with ease. The second crew member runs the live broadcast and manages the audio.

BH Broadcast Signs Rental Partnership with Dejero
New partnership between BH Broadcast and Canada-based Dejero brings remote cellular internet to live events and broadcast services
KENT, October 17 2023 – Barton Hodges Broadcast ltd, providers of live video production services for events and broadcast are pleased to report that it has joined in partnership with Dejero, the Canadian based connectivity solutions provider. This new relationship brings resilient, mission critical networking to the live event broadcast services offered where more comprehensive internet connection is required, rather than bonded cellular video encoding and decoding.
BH Broadcast will initially be offering two different solutions based around three or six 4G modems bonded with on-site networks (if available). The solutions leverage Dejero Smart Blending Technology which simultaneously blends together multiple wired (broadband/fiber) and wireless (3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, satellite) connectivity from multiple providers to form a ‘network of networks’.
